Surah Ahqaf, it refers to the people of ‘Ad and Allah’s punishment for their sins. It briefly recounts the story of Prophet Hud, may peace be upon, and how the people of ‘Ad rejected his message. The people of ‘Ad were of a prosperous nation until they were destroyed by violent storm after having rejected the teachings of Tawhid. The story and example of the people of ‘Ad was used to warn the people of Quraysh that they too can be destroyed as previous nations more powerful before them had perished
