Allah says that when you sleep he take you soul and you body only stay on the earth your soul fly away in a world known as Alam e Bazakh, after that if Allah wants he return your soul back to your body and for that you should have to thanks him with prayer coz if he dint want you see many people die in sleep and dint came back. so the dua Allah's Prophet teach us for such time is اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ.
Alhamdu lillahil-lathee ahyana baAAda ma amatana wa-ilayhin-nushoor. All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection.
